I found it but I was unable to remove it. Are there any tricks?

I found it but I was unable to remove it. Are there any tricks?Needle nose pliars. Usually they are just gunked in a couple are screwed but the duratec should just be shoved in.

The manual says to turn it 90 degrees.

The concensus is you have to pull the UIM and the fuel rail otherwise you will run the risk of breaking it when you start pulling on it.

I havent ever changed it.

Either my 1996 or 1998.......probably the 1996.

I would guess the 1996 as well. Didn't the 1998 have electronically controlled intake runners? The one in the photos appears to be vacuum actuated.
