ranger ..engine submerged

my neighbors son submerged his 98 or 99 4x4 ranger 6 cylinder underwater.the front end totally.complete engine , hood....up to about the top of the dash board...............and suggestions on where to start to get it to run.....or is it shot. are the coil paks shot........any info would be helpful...thanks.florida snooper..........the bed of the truck was in the air.and yes.this was really my neighbors kid, not me that did this.thanks

It should be fine as long as you remove the plugs and crank it over to purge water from the cylinders, remove the air cleaner box and intake hose to clean out water, and change the oil.
