Hi !
Iīm just a new member here in this forum too. I got my 330 cic a month ago (Here in Germany it has been the best weather this year AFTER i got the car.....NICE !). There has been some smaller problems in the beginning which BMW fixed VERY fast (A small scratch in some of the outline chrome-things, some dirt which couldīnt be removed from the backseets......no bigger problems at all). The car used the first 500 KM about 14-15 liters/100 km, but now (after about 3000 km) it uses about 9,5-9,9 l/100 km....thats OK i think for an 3.0-l engine :-))
I was a little disappointed about the power (German version of the 330 have about 231 hp, american versions i think have "only" 220 hp). My BMW-dealer told me to wait after the first few 1000 km, the power would increase. And thatīs true ! The quality is amazing, the technique of the electric/hydraulic hood...fantastic ! The sound when you lock teh doors....*smack*, and of course the sound of the starting engine :-)

You will love it! Wonderfully quiet with the insulated top up no shakes or rattles.I would recommend getting the wind deflector, ups the usability in very hot or cold weather and your wife or girlfriend will let you put the top down more which is the whole point!

I AGREE 100 % :-))....The winddeflector is a MUST HAVE ! Especially the point that the girlfriend/wife more often "will allow" you to drive without the hood *roflmao*. As i wrote to Robdial already, iīve bought one at eBayīs.....there was about 200 $ savings there (OK, the winddeflector was used but in Tripple-A condition !).
A quick little question to all you american guys out there: I saw at the US-American BMW site that the 330 is delivered "only" with 220 hp, is that true ??? We here in germany we get it with 231 hp ! I was just wondering why there should be this difference, the engine is almost the same i think.

Does the difference in horse power have something to do with pollution emmission controls here in the U.S.? On my test drives the car still hugs the road and roar and runs magnificently.

I couldīnt find any pollution emmission for the US-Cars on the US-BMW-site (My english is probably TOO bad *LOL*).
My 330 cic has the following value: C0ē-Emission (g/km) = 229
and thatīs allow me to drive the car for the next 2 years (!) without paying the "Environmental tax" (Thatīs a special kind of tax we here in Germany pay depending on the emmission of the car, there are 5 or 6 different "classes" in each engine-type (diesel or gazoline engine). The 330 (no, ALL new BMW 3 series cars) is in the best "pollution-class", i save about 350 Euro (equal to about 340 US-$) in the next 2 years. After that i have to pay about 5,11 Euro/100 cc = about 153,30 Euro/Year in "environmental tax" (For better understanding: For an "VW-Golf-4 TDI" you pay about 550 Euro/year even if it is the BEST "environment-class" !!!)

īStill waiting for pics ! :-)
Iīd finally make a decission: I will in later autumn get this Engine-tuning made (So i have at least added 45-55 hp). And as the manufacture told me i will with this kit save approx. 0,75-1,25 L of fuel on 100 km......and when the car has gone 2.000.000 km i will have paided the tuning-kit from the savings *roflmao*
Hoping to hear from you soon !
Best regards !
