Just got ahold of the new Lamb of God disc.
I've listened to it about a half dozen times already. Dunno what to say. It's good tunes but it's gonna take some getting used to again. I listened to it and then I listen to Ashes of the Wake and I'm sure I like Ashes better.
Watched the Redneck vid. Seems pretty radio friendly or something. Cool but I hope they're not planning on selling out or something dumb like that. Don't get me wrong, I love Lamb of God but I hope they don't become another Metallica.
Anyone else heard this new disc?

I picked it up Thurs. I have to agree it is different. The production could have been better. Some spots the snare gets drowned out, and the guitar riffs remind me of the "New American Gospel" disc, which isnt such a bad thing but could be clearer and just a bit heavier. I do love the music and really dig the lyrics though. "Redneck" wasn't the greatest at first but after a couple of listens I really like it. I do have a theory on that song though. here it is.
I belive he is bashing Phil from Pantera/SuperJoint Ritual. And to be honest I couldnt be happier if he is. Just listen to the words and how they are sang, but like I said it's just a theory to stir something up.
