I drove this car yesterday and it was fine. It sat for about 6 hours at my work and when I tried to start it up again it will crank but won't fully turn over. A mechanic around the corner mentioned that it could be a distributor problem which would cost around $1,500. Does anyone have any idea what else it might be? By the way it would not spark when it was tested.

I just had the same problem on my 99 JX this week. It turned out to be the Crankshaft sensor. I parked the car after it running normal and the next start up was a no start, no sputter. It cost me about $300 at local garage. Good Luck

I will second the opinion of crank sensor. If you have the 2.5 like I have it is in the bell housing of the trans aorund the back side of the trans ( firewall side VS rad side).

It was the Damn Crank Sensor. Boy is that a pain to get to, but for $65.00 at pepboys thats worth it. -Later, Ben
