hey, i posted a smiliar post over at SRO, and they told me to come here.

I know u dont like ricers and all.. But i figured this is the best place to ask on the net anyway..

I'm planning on getting a second hand CE lancer in a couple of years.
I'm going to work on the body and exterior before anything else (i dont really care if u dont like this so plz keep it shut). After that, i might work out some audio, or go straight to the engine.

What kind of things would i be looking to increase performance of my car? I wont be racing her on streets or raceparks or anything, but ill always need a bit of performance either way.
I know a turbo would always be good, but im not sure if i can afford that yet. What about supercharging?
if u recommend a new engine, what kind should i get?

A decent exhaust will help the car breathe better, but that only has use if the engines got some stick.

btw, whats the different between a turbo and supercharging? whats the price difference?

Any more suggestions welcome...

P.S. Budget = about $5-6k AUS ($2.5-3k USD).

Cheers

For the difference between Turbocharging and Supercharging check out www.automotivearticles.com and click on Technical. There is a great article on the differences by Texan. Check it out. Normally supercharging is cheaper than turbocharging.
