Just put on some new shocks and my old stock springs (that've been laying outside for like over a year.) The shocks are Monroe-Matic plus..I got em' cause that's what brand the store I work at sells and I got em' for next to nothing relatively speaking. Well anyways.. it's like sitting in 4x4 mode now..there is like a full 5 finger gap between tires and fender.. I don't know why it would sit higher than stock... I dunno if my springs need to "settle" in or if it's just the shocks... but it's just alittle to high and kinda looks weird. I'de take pics but my digi cam cord is MIA..so anyone with input?

Well they will settle a little, but they do sit high stock. And it may just be the difference between before and now that is making it look real high. Or..you messed somethign up.

haha..I don't think I messed anything up..
It's probably just a shock after being lowered like 2"inches for so long to go back this high..I'm just looking at pics of when I got the car and it just looks like it was lower when I got it then it is now... maybe I'm just goin' crazy in my boredom.
It looks like a freakin' jeep parked next to my g/f's stock crx si

yea the difference between stock and aftermarket is crazy. i remember when i put mine on. they should settle a little since theyve been extended for a while. did you get them put in or did you do it yourself? im gonna have to cut my rears to work on them cuz the passesger side bolt is completed rusted in the bushing

I just put them in myself in my dads garage. I'm just hoping it's what you said and because they've been just sitting outside so long that they'll squish down alittle..
I know I put everything together right though.. heh, afew years ago when I 1st changed shocks on my accord I put the rear springs on the front and vise versa..I noticed that mess up pretty quick cause the car had like a huge lift in the back and a front that would scrape pavement.

Well thats because you just added alot of weight to the front end. Mine actually sits a little high in the front, maybe an inch. Cant really tell at all, but I have never bottomed out yet..the previous owner sure did though.

Scrapin the bottom around here seems to be like a stage 1 weight reduction to most ppl... they lower their stuff like 3-4 inches... and the average pot hole will swallow most hondas whole... go figure.
