What to mod? 2001 Civic EX

I wrecked my old 95' Buick Skylark the other week.. The brakes died on a side street who was making a left turn.. nothing I could do besides swerve and hit a telephone poll =(

Anyways, we were looking for cars the past week, looking up safety ratings etc... and it came out that Acuras were the best safety rating for coupes, but too expensive. Next safer? Civics or Accords.. but Civics are sportier, so naturally I wanted to get that one.

I saw a 5 speed civic (2000) with a spoiler and sunroof (black), but it wasn't a good starter car for my sister (the less things you gotta worry about.. like shifting... the better for new drivers)...

So I saw a black 2001 Civic EX (I think its ex... i get the car monday), it has pretty minimal shit.... no cd player (adding it), no sun roof, and no spoiler.

It was used... 9800 miles.. so we got it for around $14,375.

Anyways, I'm interested in making it look a lot cooler (not necesarily go faster... parents would kill me if I touched under the hood, but I'm sure I could sneak some shit by them without them caring.. 18 anyways.

Anyways, I'm going to get another job (the one right now my boss seemed to just ... dissapear so im not getting paid) ... im a programmer.. do stuff over internet.. so im not sure what happened to him.. lol..

I'll be able to afford stuff.. although I don't really want to invest THAT much.. I just want to do a little bit at a time.

Lower it.. can someone tell me how to do that?

Spoiler is a biggy.... DEFINATELY want a spoiler...... but I don't want one of those ugly bigass ones.. I want a factory one that normally come on the LX Civics you see...

Rims would be 2nd.. mine suck ass.

Ground Effects... green.. black + green is good, +blue is better but too many people have that...

Ok at this point...I would REALLY like a sunroof...

if you want a sunroof...buy an EX

I got my new 01 ex for $15.8k. It had the standard stuff that comes with an ex( sunroof, cd player, blow up doll....) and they added a spoiler.

I don't think it would be worth adding a sunroof to an LX.

I don't think it would either, but we already bought the LX. It was used, 9800 miles. We payed $15.2k for it... do you think we got ripped? That's after tax though. $14.375 before tax.
