WRX vs 350z... i know these two cars are in completely different field, but i have something in mind. Set aside performance and the fact that wrx is a sedan. Which car has the best compromise of handling, reliability, luxury, and comfort.

handling, i hear that the Z is good. Reliability i would say the Z, luxury.....well, neither really, but maybe the WRX has a sportier feel imside, and comfort is hard to judge if you dont try yourself.

i hear people saying how 350z is a no-no on snowy/icy road. WRX with its AWD can handle it. Rx-8 has RWD but it seems to have no problem under those condition as well. Why the 350z? By the way correct me if im wrong, im just restating what i read!

tires has more to do with how well a car handles in the snow. if you put snow tires or all season on a Z, it would take the snow decent.
the wrx interior is trash compared to the Z's. top end the Z wins hands down, 1/4 mile is driver's race between the two. looks the Z win's hands down. handling the Z has more grip because it comes with wider tires and summer tires for the sports package while the WRX comes with skinny 16 inch rims that are only 6.5 inches wide with all season tires.
the new WRX with the 2.5 liter is a different story though.

Do you mind telling us what u have in mind cos ur right, they're two completely different cars with very diff price tages, layouts and applications.
And I think "best compromise" is a bit of an oxymoron.
But of course the Z is the better car.

Both cars handle and proform well. The WRX has way more room the Z is more mechanicly sound. WRX is great in adverse weather conditions the Z is great on the track Take your pick it's a toss up. But the new Evo will spank them all LOL.

Id take the Z, Its more of a true sports car. The WRX can still perform(and the STi) but Id rather have a true RWD two door.

Oh my, I have never wanted to kick someones ass so bad in my life, and I never even met you. (just kidding) The Evo X is the sexiest machine since the R34 GT-R, how could anyone diss its sexy jagged edges? I am about to sell my left kiddney and half my liver on the black market to get a downpayment the second it comes out!

The Evo has always been an aggressive , in your-face kind of car.

I've riden in a Z and my friend just bought a WRX last month acctually. I would have to say go with the Z, handling I would say is slightly better. But I think the WRX is a little more sporty... or fancy... however the hell you wanna put it. It sounds like the WRX is a better bet for you. But the Z is a sexy looking peice of metal... Whats you budget?

I really don't know how I feel about the EVO concept. Like it looks cool as a car. But as an EVO its going away from what made an EVO and EVO. Like you can see it out of the very corner of your eye and say "oh yea that was a nice looking EVO." I think the new concept will make it blend in to much... not that ever shmuck doesn't allready have an EVO haha.

I suppose I'd say the Skyline is the better looker of the two, but only because it’s an Autobot rather then a nasty Decepticon. :naughty:

Oh now I do want to kick some ass LOL. I just love the AWD traction and supreme level of control, they are true AWD drivers cars unlike the Audi and the Mazda. That is the difference between a front wheel and a rear wheel based systems. They could make the Evo look like a steaming turd and I would not care its proformance is its strong point. Besided I like the Evo X look they finnaly got away from the riced out cheapo body look, now it looks like a high tech musclecar.

hahah the skyline looks much much much much better in person then it does in the pictures. esp the R32, in person it actually looks smaller then my 240. the R33 is probrably the only on that looks big like a boat but its no bigger then a supra. the R34 looks smaller in person also then in photos.

Man, TATII, you really need to pull that video clip off of your signature. I had a Silvia and an R32 GTS-t when I was in Japan and the Skyline was a little bit bigger. You noticed it most in the interior, because you couldn't fit anyone in the back seat of the Silvia but it wasn't that bad for back seat passengers in the Skyline. The Skyline also was a little taller and had a little bit better of a trunk.
Anyway, regarding the topic of the thread, I'd rather have a 350Z. Being in the military, I move around, and if I were up north where it snows I'd definitely get a WRX (probably will happen). But when it comes to good ole dry pavement performance I'll take the 350z anyday. I love sports cars, and the 350z is a pure red-blooded sports car, whereas the WRX (and Evo, for that matter) is a hopped up econo-box.
