My car has trouble codes for the MAP sensor and the O2 sensor. My metro is a '95 5 speed manual and has a rebuilt engine about 2000 miles ago. My question is will either or both of these cause the engine to be loud and have a high RPM's. It is loud not only at idle but the whole time it is driven. It was loud even before the engine was rebuilt so I am wondering what this noise could be. Any help would be appreciated.

More likely there is a hole somewhere in your exhaust.

Well I have checked my exhaust before and I cannot find any leaks there. So any other things it could be?

Plugged Cat? If you thnik it is this you could loosen off the gasket just below the exhaust manifold. The RPMS would lkiely go down if it is the cat causing poor flow.

I dont think it has anyhting to do with the exhaust because I just changed the cat on it so it cant be that. It sounds more like a clicking noise and liek I said the engine was rebuilt so I would think it would have to be a sensor or the TBI or something.
