Couple of questions on my 2004 SS sc

On my 2004 SS Supercharged it says i need to use Premium Unleaded only. Is this true or can I use regular? I have heard that some cars that say they require premium work fine on regular. Since mine is supercharged I was not sure if it would affect it or not?

Also how do you turn off all these damn chimes that go off? Like turning the traction control off and also putting the car in gear and not having your seatbelt on. Those chimes drive me crazy because they are LOUD!!!

Not sure about the chimes and all, maybe there is a fuse that you could take out or something, anyway i'd goto the dealer and ask them about it.

About running regular unleaded, you could run it and it'd be fine but you wouldnt be getting the maximum output of the engine. If you do start to experience differences in the way your car acts then id switch back.

on my 03 you can turn down the chimes but you cant yurn them off in your owners manual look under radio thats how it works on mine the menu on the radio controls keyless entry oil change light chimes and horn hope this helps

to turn down the chimes, turn the radio off, but still have power on. hold the preset 6 in for about 4 seconds. it should then say normal (or loud, if it was already normal)
