Let me add i have a custom Exhaust system so would they be able to just cut the old cat out and just replace it or will they have to redo the whole exhaust?

Should be able to get a high flow cat that will bolt right up. or at least hav the same flanges that the stocker does.

You wont see many gains from it unless you hav headers to go with that. You may also get an SES light with the highflo, then you would need the O2 Sim from PFYC.

My SE has headers, highflo w/3" in and 2.5" out with custom 2.5" all the way.
I didnt get an SES light, but I did hav high emmission readings which if I had to get my car inspected(like some states) I'd prob fail. Especially if I was running premium.

I thought PFYC had high flo's....
I'll check out where I got mine.
Think it was Jegs or JC Whitney , but it was $380+ shipping :eek7:

Try a magnaflow. They are inexpensive and will usually not cause issues with CEL's. They have all sizes so they should have one to fit your needs.

Let me know bro if you have any questions with the PCM replacement, I just recently replaced mine  ..

A CASE learn is a MUST from the local dealership, mine charged me $40 :banghead: to do the simple service, but still well worth it.

Must really specify to them that you do not want to re-flash the PCM, I had to tell mine that it was an aftermarket PCM flash and that all it needed was to be CASE learned. Bring the paper information that you'll recieve with the PCM to the dealership, it'll help them better understand...

DO NOTE: THEY WILL HAVE TO REV 2 TIMES(*do the process twice), ONE WILL CUT OFF AT RPM LIMIT, 2ND TIME THEY SHOULD GO ALL THE WAY TILL IT CUTS OUT!!!

Hey Jmoney3318, found these at JC whitny alot cheaper than they used to be :banghead:

I know I got mine from Jegs but they didnt hav the one I hav anymore, its been several years.

That PFYC PCM is nice, its even nicer and pretty easy to set up. Its a whole lot better if you get thier DHP PCM tuner, stupid pricy though :shakehead
If one was to open up the PCM perameters to the fullest, you'd probly see a mpg drop.

I think you can sav presets then just load them, with a pcm appropriate tuner, makes it nice for street/strip use.
If thats what you are into anyway.

guess ill warn you now about the lame :gay: plastic tab that holds the plastic piece that blocks you from getting to your PCM.... use a flathead to pop the center piece out, just kinda pull it out slowly or w/e then pull the whole thing out and the big plastic piece should come out pretty easy.

this is all located right under the steering wheel... might be in a weird position sitting in ur driver's seat upside-down leaned back and whatnot... pull the steering wheel up for the most room =p and try and move ur seat all the way back, im only 5'6" and it was difficult for me to fit, but I managed to lay on my back....

going to need a small socket wrench, hope you have plenty of sizes.. think it was like 10mm or something ... I also used an extension (but I was dumb and confused lol, still gives more room to spin around) There will be 2 things you need to loosen up, they'll be right next to eachother... and once you have them loose you just pull the PCM connections out, dont take out the bolts or w/e in the plastic cause then you're just giving yourself more bs to deal with =p

but yea,.. take those out, feel around and see if you can slide out the PCM, I was shocked at the size lol the PCM is huge!.. and basically when u get it out, just reverse the process and install it back in and go thru the security re-learn... *mine worked on the first try :dunno:* if it runs, then you're done... I had my cell phone with me doing the timing of when to start and try again...

No prob Jmoney3318 !
I hav a large round magnaflow. they are much cheaper now then 3-4yrs back :(

Haha! Gir makes it sound simple :D

That plastic piece he is talking about slides/flips to the left,(right if youre standing on your head in the floorboard)
then the PCM will start to drop out of its plastic holder.
It may take some pulling.

Getting it back in, may not go as smooth :grinno:

The case relearn isnt hard just waiting.
To get the most out of your DHP PCM you really need it set up and tuned properly.
I dont know If Gir is actually geting all the HP's he can out of his. I would think the dealer would just leave it with stock set up :dunno:

If and when you deceide to get it though,
we'll be here to help you out !

trust me on this one, you'll want the CASE learn done, it acts funky as hell (or at least mine did) on the shifts... they seemed way way to soon, I got the CASE learn and havent had a problem since, now ive been experimenting with 87oct, runs great but I have the Cold air intake and exhaust mods..

get this XI, took my car in for an estimate (brakes) to kwik kar.. the guys im ok with... the asshole kid who drove my car into the bay starts revving my car when hes pulled into the bay... psh ... once I was out there hes like... "hehe, I rev'd ur car" ... no sh!t idiot, dont do it again, thanks...

on top of that, some new guy ive never seen before starts telling me that my cold air intake is wrong? lol hes like, You need to remove the fog light! LOL .. was talkin about using some w/e tubing from like autozone with one of those big metal things to *suck in more air*.... tard =p he sounded like he knew what he was talking about!

but eh, I talked with the Mech there Wes and hes cutting me a deal of half labor expense... should be around $230-ish .. just doing the front rotors (new) and pads... going to follow up with the rest sometime in the future, its not to the point to where it NEEDS to be replaced but asap...

HaHA! Damn kwik people! :shakehead

Some punk rev my car, :chair:
he'd probly get a Royal Ass Chewin with my #12's

So what was that guy saying about you CAI
Was he saying you need a tube to go from up front(behind the foglight) to your CAI?
Thiers tons of air flowing up through thier anyway.

$230 ! :yikes:
thats kinda pricy for just your front rotors and pads :grinyes:

If you did the work, you could get Power Slots and ceramic pads :bigthumb:

At least you are on top of it !
