where is thermostat in 99 malibu?

Hello,

I need to have a thermostat in 99 malibu v6 replaced and wanted to know where it is located ? thanks.

remove the top radiator hose from the engine, and then remove the neck that you just took the hose off of. The thermostat is right under the neck.

Or It is located underneath the throttle cable assembly, behind the exhaust manifold.
