2006 Ion Oil filter location

Can anyone describe to me where the oil filter on the 06 Ion is located.

the Ecotec engine has an internal cartrige style filter. located on the front driver's side of the engine, below the intake manifold. a special shallow socket is required to remove the cap, here is one example of the tool - http://www.topstoresite.com/151573.html, most auto part stores carry it, the most common i've seen is by Lisle Tools. the filter will come out in the cap, remove it, lube the O-rings as you would a typical filter's gasket. place the new filter in the cap and install.
