My 70 Nova does not have reverse???

The car has a 350 turbo with a manual valve body, 3500 stall and it leaks fluid and reverse has never worked since ive had it. when you put it in reverse its just like putting it into neutral. Anyone have any information to help?

I had a car that was the same way, drive was the same a neutral. Reverse worked great...but I still had to buy a new tranny.

It was going to cost me as much to repair as it did to replace the whole thing with a used one.

Take it to a tranny shop, maybe it is an easy fix.
