97 Z28 run above 210

I have a problem with the cooling fans not coming on. I have drained the coolant and replaced the thermostat and the coolant temp. sensor. I jumped the motors to see if they worked that checked good, the relays checked for continuity. Running down the highway or road its fine at about 180 or so. get in traffic and it warms up to above 210 but not to the red. Anything else I can check? Your help wound be greatly appreciated.

fan fuse? relay? if all else fails, hardwire a switch to come on when you turn on the car.. after you park your car(when it gets to 210), is the fans on at all? or are they all off..

Thats completely normal. Stock fan kick on for the first fan is like 212- 215 and the second is around 224. I suggest you buy a hypertech 160 degree stat and either a manual fan switch kit or have the PCM programmed to kick them on sooner. Thats what most of us did.

as far as i have seen the fans don't come on. I still haven't verified if they are on with the a/c or not but i know they are not on when i shut the car off. I had the car up on ramps with it running to watch if they would and they didn't, this was before i checked out the motors and relays. A friend of mine told me about this manual switch i guess it's the same thing as the hard wire idea. thanks for your reply.

thanks for the reply. I was told earlier today about the same thing about the switch. If the store would have had one when i went to get the new one i would have gotten it then but i am going to get one when i got to get the switch.
