95 laredo engine swap HELP

:banghead: I recently purchased a 95 GC laredo I6 the motor had a dead cylinder other than that it ran just not well decided to find a new motor purchased a used 06-93 I6 block and used the same manifolds, flywheel, distibutor and coil at first it wouldn't start so we pulled the crankcase sensor thinking that we damaged it when we set the motor since the diagnostic tool showed that we had no rpms when we turned it over. That got it started however know it sounds badly out of time the distributor is set to the # 1 point at TDC and even leaving the distributor loose and adjusting by hand does not seem to help. Keep in mind that everything on this block is the same as the running block minus a new crank case sensor. we have even checked the crankcase pickup plate to insure that it had not been bent it is not. At this point and time i am under the impression that the camshaft timing is off not the distributor. Is it even possible for this thing to run at all if this where the case. Any information at this point would be more than welcome.

Thanks
