Blower motor and automatic windows

This is a real weird one. I own a 2001 Mirage and when the inside of the car gets too warm, which happens whenever I park it, the blower motor will no longer work. To top it off whenever the blower motor stops working, the automatic windows also do not work. This summer I am almost cooking to death because when this happens (daily) I have no way of cooling down the interior of the car. Usually overnight the car cools down so in the morning everything works again.
My mechanic is going nuts because he cannot find any correlation between these 2 items and cannot fix whatever is going on.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?

According to the manual, both relays are in near proximity on the driver's side. I'd check that area for a bad common power connection or bad common ground.
