Hey guys i just got my car running today. Here's a list of what i added...
100mm stroke crank-cryoed
scat rods-cryoed
ross 9:1 pistons-cryoed
SI 1mm over sized ss valves
ICS SCE Titan head gasket
updated lifters
dks 272 cams (had for 1 mile before baering failure)
ported head
ported exhaust manifold
injen intake (stole off my brothers car)
Thats about all of the new parts, my car sounds like a fucking harley at idle. I also put some new gauges on and glow needles. I plan on getting a gt35r turbo before christmas but that all depends on what IO'm doing with school. I might go to the University Of Illinois at Chicago and move to an apartment in chicago. If that happens (spring semester) I wont have the cash avalible that i have now. Now i'm just enjoying the car and the rediculous spool on a cammed stroker with a evoIII 16g, i spooled at about 2700 rpms maybe even sooner considering my gauges are off thanks to my new needles.

Awesome, welcome back. I wondered what was going on with that thing. Got any pics of the new gauge needles yet? I'm interested to see how they look.

7 or 6 bolt crank? And how does that idle with 272's for both intake and exhaust?

6 bolt, it idles fine i have both 272's. I'll go take some pics right now and post them and some of the install in a little while.

Fucking nice! Where'd you get that crank at? I've been looking for one for a long ass time now but I don't want to pay $700 to get a new one through the Hyundai dealer. Did you have to do some mods to the block to get the clearance issues figured out?

Well i got the kit from ffwdconnection.com, with a new crank the kit was $2000 all cryoed, i saved some by getting a remanned crank.

Ahh you got a kit. I'm trying to lean away from kits being as they get pretty spendy when you don't need everything. Definitely need some pictures of that beast though.

They were easy to install but you need some type of logger in order to re-calibrate the gauges.

Tidy Cat = cheaper floor dry

Is that what you use to remove oil and shit on floor ?

vanilla gorilla

I use kitty litter for liquid spills. Whenever I change my oil or w/e and spill a little I throw a heap of litter on it and it absorbs it so I can just sweep it up. Works pretty good.

Tidy Cat = kitty litter ;)

Yes killer, it will absorb the oil etc so all you have to do is sweep.

Actually tidy cats is for my parents' cats. I use the containers for oil and other liquids. Oil dry is cheaper than litter...

HAHA... Yup thats where I get mine too.

Who built the motor for you? How long has your car been down for?

R&R engineering in addison, IL built the engine, i got the stroker kit from ffwd connection. The car was down for about three months, mostly just waiting on stuff, it took the machine shop a month.
