Need some info on Air Intakes

I'm wondering is there any improves in performance for those who got Air Intakes for their cavys?

Yes you will gain a little horsepower out of it....maybe 5-10 horse or so someone correct me if im wrong. But to get the most out of it, it helps to have an exhaust also.

The big shiney thing in my engine bay.. I love it! Cheap as hell over AEM, or INJEN ones. Its also 100% stainless steel compared to the aluminum of the competitors.

A CAI for a 95-02 z24 from RdFabs is $230, thats why I said, depending on the style or (make/model) intake.

i was a google geek and picked up an injen for $179 with shipping.i actually just put it on yesterday.i noticed it really helped with throttle response.definitely a good investment.and only took 20 minutes to put on.

Short rams make cool noises when you get on the throttle real hard. The CAI extention killed the noises but on really cold nights, its more of a kick.

out of all the pictures you have of your engine bay you have to get a pic of your whole car were you can only see 2 inches of the intake

Intakes for the most part wont give good numbers. They are for the most parts for style, convience and they are in fact cost effective. In the long run add up the cost of all the air filters you will have to buy over the span of the cars life and it will be greater then the cost of a good intake. With proper placement and maintanence a performance filter will outlive your car.

And forget everyones opinion on what is the best one to get. Its all up to you. Take into consideration where you live, your climate and your budget. If you live somewhere where it rains alot you might want to go with a warm air intake or if you have the wallet for it then go cold air and pick up a filter condom to keep mud and debris out and a bypass valve for deep puddles.

Also to add to all the above I would really really love to go off on a rant right here but chances are it will just end badly.

I honestly don't have a good engine bay photo.... All the most reacent ones i have are of the exhaust install and focus on the header.

you have plenty of old ones with teh intake on, we have all seen them 100 times my friend

well i personally bought a aem short ram intake and i like it and damn it sucks pretty hard and sounds good and shit well ya i dont know i perfer AEM shit but it is up to u on how much u wanna spend an ya

hey if your going to go for a air intake go with what i found really works for me. I suggest that you go with the is7000 injen short ram air intake its done wonders for my car.Never the less ive also got magna flow exsaust so,yeah you might wont to get one of those as well.
