if you are putting the neons under the car you Dont want them to come on when you turn your lights on.
Plus they usually hav a relay that needs wires up to energixe the neons.

k if ur talkin about the back light of the cluster gauge... you'd be better off on placing and LED 194 in the place where the bulb is located...
What color is ur gauge cluster at night? ... hopefully either red or blue :dunno:
www.pfyc.com ... under grand am -> Interior -> very bottom of the page u can find the autometer LEDs that might be specific for your color... expensive yea but they're molded different than a normal LED and shine light around rather than in 1 direction .. I placed my extra blue one down where my shift light was because the blue on my shift gauge was like a teal color ... blue autometer gauge fixed it right up and is brighter than the 194 OE Bulb... lights up very very blue and covers alot of area with light...

well heres my situation the thing that holds the 194 bulbs have supposedly broke cuz they dont like up and ive tried everything so my theory is gettin some of that white Neon wire stuff and outline the gauges so it can light up cuz i have the blue intelliglow needles but its not enough light to see my rpms and speed and all that nonsense so i wanna hook up that neon wire so it come son when the headlights come on.

Hey Jmoney3318, pretty sure you can do it but those neon rope things probly need to be on just a power wire and not the dimmer.
Most neon lights that go inside need a steady power.
You can test those lights on the floor with a volt meter.
It could be jsut the fixtures bad or broken.
Thiers 1 screw that holds them on, comes off easy.
Maybe you can see whats up and or wire your neons to those power wires, but if the dimmers turned to far down the lights may not work :dunno:
Might just need a switch and work them manually.

na man i cant get em to work i think the thing they sit in is fried or something i dunno i tried everything, but yea i guess my best bet would to just be to hook them up to a switch and do it all manually
