what is the code of the jdm engine 1600 cc vtec sohc model 1996-2000 obd2 ?is it zc ?

Not sure if the JDM engine has a different code, but the 1600cc's here in the US has the code D16Y8

i ask that question because my friend will travel to japan and he will buy some engines , and he ask me what is the best sohc engine to buy model 1996- 2000 obd2. so is there are engine code zc obd2 ?and if not what is the jdm vtec obd2 engine code ?

i think the d16y8 is a 1998cc

kinda off topic, but why would you travel to japan to buy an engine... when you can get them here? lol and if you were going there wouldnt you know which engine you wanted? j/w

iam not in USA iam in EGYPT, and i know that the jdm engine is increase in the hp than any other orgine . so i need to know what is the code of the jdm engine obd2 1600cc.

JDM engine that are SOHC VTEC OBD2 PGM-FI:

D16A - JDM EJ7 coupe. 1590 CC/1.6 liter. 120 PS, SOHC VTEC-E
D15B - JDM EK3 3/4 dr. 1493 CC/1.5 liter 130 PS, SOHC VTEC 3 Stage
ZC - JDM DC1/DB6 2/4. 1590 CC/1.6 liter 120 PS, SOHC non VTEC

The D15B 1.5 liter is what you want. Only way to tell, is it has 2 VTEC soleniods, and every other VTEC motor has only 1. It is more power than the 1.6 liters.
