7th gens are cool, but I'm with nialusa, all tracs are great. And there is are a lot more things you could do with your all-trac than the 7th gen. Besides AWD > FWD =P

All-Trac. There is way more customization than the seventh generations.

Get the all-trac. Seventh generation is awesome and all, but the fact is that it has a less serious look to and has a bit too much of a plastic feel too it (that's just my opinion). Besides, it seems to me that would should be able to do more performance-wise with the all-trac. Mind you my opinion on that last bit is something you should take with a grain of salt (my knowledge of such things is limited).
And 7th generation celicas are definitely very girly. I'm a girl, so I can say it with authority.
Besides, 5th gen celicas have pop-up headlights. There is nothing better than pop-up headlights. Nothing. (course there is wind resistance to be considered there but fun toy>a bit of wind )

Please let us know where there is a '93 All-Trac for sale!! :)
Anyway, I own a 7th gen GT-S and a '92 All-Trac. I love both of them. They are two totally different machines. The 7th gen is light and agile.. VERY responsive!! The All-Trac feels like a boat, but it's fun going full throttle through corners and having grip when it's wet outside. In my opinion, the 7th gen has the better engine.. but the 3s-gte has a good track record behind it... but you are considering a GT, which has the :puke: 1zz-fe, so it seems to me that you are not looking for something fast.
If you want a car to modify, go with the All-Trac. If you want a comfy, reliable daily driver.. get the '04 GT. Put some wheels and coilovers on it and be done.
