Just wondered if anyone has replaced this on there beretta and how tough it was to do ,It is located at the rear of the engine kind of a tricky spot to get to from the top .And is it worth risking to get one from the wreckers or best to buy new
My car only stalls when cold or in damp weather ,so i figure this might be the problem ...any suggestions would be appreciated ..thanks

Try a basic tune up first, as bad plug wires will cause wet weather stalling.

I replaced both plugs and wires ,bosch wires and platinum plugs ...after the car warms up (5 to 15 min ) it runs like a dream .

Best thing to do is get it checked to see if it's getting weak. Most of the time they are not hard to remove, but do NOT try to remove the coil packs first, remove the entire assembly. Should take 3-4 bolts. You can remove the coils later before testing. While not always 100 percent you can get NAPA or Advance to test, jus t take the module itself in. Unless the engine misses the coils should be fine. Would not suggest a used one, but if you opt for that get one off a newer GM car. GM used the same modules over and over. I keep a spare for my son's old 91 Corsica(same as a Beretta except for body style) and I got it off a car only 4-5 years old. I know this was used very little or I would not have got it, and I would still not have except he is only going to be keeping the car a year or so more and I just happen to run across this for almost nothing...Normally I would but new at $80 or so to be sure. You can cross check by using Advance's online parts look up and see if parts are similar. When they are ready to go they usually cause the car to stall when HOT, and hard starts when wet. Crank sensor can cause this too. Maybe you should try cleaning the IAC just in case it is dirty, and throttle body too, as well as a check up on the module.
