Here's something that seldom gets checked but cause untold problems for T&C and Caravan owners:

The main wiring harness connections on many of the vans sits right under the battery tray. When battery leaks or even if the battery is washed or overfilled and spills, the acid leaks down onto those connectors. They corrode until the computer and other pwer sources don't work properly. I discovered mine were eaten away when I had the tranny pulled for a rebuild. I had the harnesses "rebuilt" rather than spend almost $1000 for just the harnesses. That was still $300+ and most shops won't do it....but I'm told it is a common problem.

You can pull your airbox and see the wiring harnesses, or you can see them from under the vehicle if you know what you're looking for. The white residue is an obvious sign, but sometimes you don't really see much of it on the outside. By that time the wires are already being eaten away.

I am convinced that many of the electical gremlins that we encounter are caused by by poor or corroded connections. Check yours asap. Mine is a '96 T&C, and I was told Chrysler did make some kind of shield after '99 or 2000, but i'd check anyway.
