Aaaagghhhh!!!

I am so mad at myself!! I screwed up my Skyline glass! First off I broke the left side lights cover and then I scewed up the paint on the glass. I never have been able to do the inside glass so I don't know WHY I tried now!?? :bloated:

So how do I strip the paint off without distroying the glass?? I don't think I can repair the broken glass...
I give up for today.....:devil:

I've used CSC to strip clear parts with no problems at all.

If you used acrylic paint, get some window cleaner with ammonia. Better still, I use pure ammonia. It's dirt cheap but it stinks, literally:apuke: :apuke: :apuke:

Here's a word of advice: Don't wear a respirator when working with ammonia!! I was using some, and the ammonia passes right through. I was like mcbain "my eyes, the goggles do nothing!" only it was my lungs not my eyes. Anyway, The ammonia got caught in the filter and my respirator still stinks to this day. I need to change the filters.


Anyway, to your problem: Your windshield should be ok as long as you didn't use automotive paint. Acrylic will lift off and enamel will with CSC, just make sure you get all the CSC off it before you put it on cause it leaves these really noticible rainbow streaks. As for the light cover, well, just glue it together and paint it black. It'll give it the look of headlight covers, which can look really cool if you have the right paint job.
