1.8L Lifter Noise

Just got my first DSM (a '93 Eclipse GS, 144k). I have heard that the lifter noise is very common. It had piss water in it for oil (5w30) when I bought it so I changed it with 20-50 and have seen a massive improvement, but it's still a little noisy at hot idle. Is there an updated lifter or some easy fix out there or is it just part of life with this car?
Thanks!:banghead:

They do have a revised lifter for 90-99 4g63 motors that they also put into 2000+ Eclipses. The revised ones have a much larger oiling hole. I'm not certain if your are the same lifters that are used in our 4g63 motors or not though.

Thanks for the tips.
I assume the "4G63" motor you are referring to is the 2.0L, right?

I doubt the revised lifters will go into a 1.8. You can clean them, but I think thats about it.
