lookin for input

hey my name is tim and i have just bought a car over the week end. it is a 1994 mazda mx6 with all leather and power everything. the kilometers is 115,000 and it cost a little under $5000. did i get ripped off? i am from barrie, ontario, i am wondering if any one lives in the surrounding area. If so i would really appreciate if you gave me some information as to where to bring my car for tune ups, upgrades and repairs. i am willing to drive a ways as long as i can get some one i can trust and get reasonable prices from. any information would be appreaaciated including things i should look out for and things that may break. the break pads have been replaced but the calipers have not. is there any way to checxk and see if they are in good shape? thank you for your help
