I have posted this once in the prelude forum but i will post again here just to get more insight
I am looking at some 17x7 rims with a 43 offset any recommendations on a tire size would be great... i think a 40 series maybe to thin for where i live (the roads are total crap.) any help and input on this would be much apperciated...
Thanks in advance for all your help

You should be looking for 225/40/17 tires, they're closest to stock tires height, but choices are very limited for that tire size.
other tire size that may be suitable is 215/40/17, its 1.2% smaller then stock tire. 1.2% means; at 65MPH on speedometer actual speed will be 64MPH.
other thing; since 215/40/17 tire is small, fender gap will open up little bit.

I just checked out tirerack.com and they recomend a 205/45/17. This is about 0.2 inches bigger than stock.
