How much am I going to have to spend to get an 01+ Civic into the low 13's? I'm looking for a new car, and I don't wanna deal with the high insurance of a Subaru STi, which was my first choice.
Thanks.

The easiest way to get into the low 13's is save your money and purchase a car made for racing when you are older. You will not get this car into the 13's unless you have well over 10 k to spend. I learned that the hard way and wasted 4 grand then sold the car and bought something that was specifically made from factory to race.

I have $13k cash, and I make $1k a month, with a little less than $100 in expenses, excluding the car. Insurance, gas, and maintenence...I was looking into an STi, but the insurance is pretty high...

Buy a new SI or an older SI to play with..
