Eibachs for a P11

I know this is the cheesy way of doing it, but I'm cheap.
I'm thinking about getting the Eibach Prokit for my 01 g20.
I'm curious how much they will cost...ballpark.
Also, how long might the stock shocks last with the Eibachs?
Also, ride comfort and performance... Anyone know?
Now, if I were to get the Eibachs, and some pretty good shocks, I'm already around $1000 right?
I'm thinking get the Eibachs soon, use stock shocks, then when I got some more money, sell the Eibachs and get the Tein NA setup.
After the socal meet last weekend, I really gotta get my G lowered a tad, and get some 17 5zigen fireballs, or say screw this car and leave it stock, and wait to trade it in for one of the new toys Nissan/Infiniti are going to give us.
I noticed Sleepy had the Eibachs- were you running with stock shocks?
Of course, if I do good in Vegas next week, I will just get the Teins. so if you got a buddha, rub his belly for me:D

nnn..I'd stick to stock until you have enough doe to buy the NAs. its kind of a waste to buy eibachs for $220, kill your stock shocks, and then get TEIN's. just get the TEIN's first, then your set of wheels.

I have the Eibachs on mine. 40mm drop
The ride is very stiff. Its great for corners and handling but is hard on potholes/bumps etc.
I'm changing to the Tein's as soon as i can afford it....ive been for a ride in one that has them and they are great.
So if i was you i'd just wait till i got the money and get the Teins or someother adjustable shocks.
Plus....get the wheels first...see what it looks like then go for a lowering kit if thats the way you are going to do it. You can see the wheels on the car, then make up your mind as to how far you will drop. eg 30/40/45mm etc.

Hey primera man, is it hard for you to get up driveways or go over bumps? Cause I don't have any lowering springs yet and I've got the stillen front bumper on and it is hard as hell for me to get up a driveway without dragging my bumper on the pavement.

So far i have been really lucky with driveways etc. I have scraped the bottom a few times but nothing that can be seen.
There is only one driveway that i have no hope in getting in and out of that i have found so far.
The worse times are parking and not getting to close to the gutter in front.
Have no problems with bumps.

Yep, I would have to agree with the above. Ive heard the Tiens arent as good for performance though???
I have the Eibach pro kits with stock shocks, and yea, they are sooo gone. bouncy ride, but still corners good on smooth pavement (but then again I also have both strut tower bars and a rear swaybar).
As for me, the majority of what ive heard is that for performance, you want good springs with good adjustable shocks, not coilovers. That goes for all cars, not just G's. Im just a little frustrated about what my options are for adjustable shocks are at the moment.
I still get lots of conflicting info on this, but if anyone is ABSOLUTELY SURE whether coilovers or good shock/spring combo is better for PERFORMANCE, I'd like to hear it.

Just how much do the Tiens run for? I just bought a pair of H&Rs for 200 and i was wondering if the KYB AGX shocks would be a good setup. My local speed shop is selling them to me for 85 a piece and was trying to figure out as far as price and setup goes for, is this a good combo. I havent put them in yet, thanks for the help.
Also can some one tell me how to paste a pic with having the link, i would like for you guys to see my car and tell me what you think.

You have to come at the driveways and bumps at an angle. I had a
body kit on my last car and I had to learn tha trade. You almost have to be parrallel to the obstacle. Get parallel to the bump or driveway and
turn your wheel so it will be the first thing that goes over and then you should be straight. Takes a little more time but you want to take care
of that touring spoiler. Holla back if you got any more ?'s or concerns.:bloated:
