Evening folks, im wondering how one goes about turning off the photo sensor for the headlight turnon on a 98 grand prix GT. I would like my head lights only to turn on with the knobb, reguardless of the exterior lighting conditions.

Since you have a '98 model you can try removing the DRL fuse. It should disable DRL and auto headlight turn on requiring manual control of the headlight on/off switch.

It is located right side of dash in the fuse panel by the glovebox. Marked DIC - 10A. Should be at the bottom right hand side or there about.

Pulling that fuse worked wonderfuly, however it also turned off my onboard computer, any solutions to keep system-go while still killing the auto-on with the darkness (98 GT)

Did you lose power to the DIC? Thats strange. For the 97 - 99 models years pulling the DRL fuse is only supposed to affect DRL and auto headlights. You may have to disconnect the 12v input from the ignition circuits directly at the DRL module to get it to work as you want. Also, the photo sensor inputs at the DRL module. It is located on the far left hand side of the dash. There is an access cover.
