Hi,
My son has a 94 Ranger with a 3.0 liter v-6. in the morning when the engine is cold, it takes 3-4 starts before it keeps running. After it is running, it has no power until it is warmed up.
We are getting no error messages and the check engine light is not on.
Does this engine have a cold start valve that me be malfunctioning?
Any ideas?
Ron

I don't know of such a valve. But there is probably an engine temp sensor.... could be failing.
Also EGR valve sticking (unlikely), or other EGR system failure.
Or a simple vacuum leak.
