disappearing oil

for a while after i changed may head gasket the car is loosing oil. i know it's not geting pass the rings and there isn't any puddles of it on the ground. i'm think that it maybe the valve seals but if anyone else has any other suggestions where it my be going please chime in. it's a 95 2.2L auto.
