Replacing Wheel Studs

I'm having to replace 2 wheel studs from where a tire shop apparently used an air gun and snapped off about half the length of 2 studs on the rear. I didn't know anything about it until I took my car in to get new tires put on it. I would take it back to the place, but that was about 3 years ago and I've moved over 100 miles away. I bought the studs for about $1.50 a piece and was going to install them myself but found out that I'd have to take the rear hub off to do it.

Does anyone know the socket size needed to take off the rear hub nut? I'm guessing it's something like a 36mm. I have a Chilton's but it doesn't say. Also would it be a good idea to repack the bearing? Is there any issue with reusing the hub nut?

I don't know what size it is but you could use an adjustable wrench to get the size and then match it to a socket. Fit the wrench to the nut and then put a piece of tape on the thumb wheel to keep it from turning.

should be 36mm. you shouldn't need to take the hub off to do it though.
