Did you get the pushrods fixed on your car Mushashi? Should be interesting to see your new and improved track times. I'm betting low 14's now. I'll guess at 14.2 at 102mph.

It was a bad road but it was early night on a weekday with lots of cars out on the main roads so we didnt have much spots to pick from.

Maybe your car threw a code due to the heat soak. I've heard those engines heat up and pull timing like a mofo. In any event from seeing the vid I can see that you have improved at launching your car. I'm positive you'll run alot better at the track.

I wanted to take Bushido with me but he insisted on riding with Gotian. I had a second camera mounted on the goat but that video was useless due to the fact its too dark. Gotian also said the extra weight didnt bother him since he weights like 115lbs compared to my 195lbs. and I had about 100lbs worth of crap in my trunk plus the weight difference between the Goat and the Jetta, it all added up to him convincing me that the extra 200lbs from the cameraman wouldnt affect the race.
oh and by the way props to the vid editing nice job....

Yeah the camera work was very solid. I think we should make it an unwritten rule that men should be the camera holders, after seeing everyone's girlfriends holding the cameras :p J/K
I'd like to see you versus a Camaro Z28/Firebird LT1. Those cars are said to launch very well out of the hole (More so then the LS1, due to better low end torque), but I know you'll wax them on top end.
You should try to do a video of you doing 70-150.

Atleast your honest. Most people think that magazine drivers suck, and never go to the track, all the while stating that they can out do what the Magazine drivers get for times.

I didn't see that at all... in all fairness his GTO should walk on you in every contest of speed. 400hp is 400hp. Especially from a roll where he (or you) has no traction problems.

yeah, but you know i've had trouble since nami didnt have a job at the time, but now we are okay, even with me getting the RX-8 between us we are going to be able to save up 6-8 hundred a month for any extra things that we might need, like an apartment, to completely pay off the jetta, and to get her a new car, she seems to be liking the mazdaspeed 3.

SLP longtubes and cat-back, K&N intake and HPTunners program with new lap-top for the tune. Im having it professionaly tuned on the 8th and 9th so it should be a bit more agressive. I need to hit the 13s by then though since I said I would do it bone stock. Times running out and Im getting frustrated :banghead:.
I should be up 30 more WHP with the mods and tune, dont know how much it will be at the crank.

Know what looks good on a GTO? Are some 17" American Racing Torque Thrust II's in chrome. I saw a Blacked out GTO sporting a set of these it was hot, I think he had full exhaust, no cats and just a muffler of sorts cause it sounded pissed. It was beautiful.

You're looking at a 40-50whp gain. I hate to break the news to you, but the exhaust, and especially the programming, are really restrictive on your car.
The good news is your car is gonna be a heckuva lot faster then mine (You'll have 380-390whp, 400+wtq), but you're gonna have traction issues out to ying yang.

Nah, I'll still be slower then you. :lol: They only make 365-370 whp with the stuff Im putting in. The stock tunning is really restrictive cause they are tunned to run medium grade octane so they are pig rich from factory, after the tune it should be nice and clean set to 93 octane.
Stuff is not looking good though. I ordered the Long-tubes three weeks ago from MarylandSpeed cause SLP was out and the guy told me that he has never taken more then three weeks to ship them. Well its been four and I still have no headers and the tune is in two weeks. I dont think Im gonna make it. Might get them after the tune has passed and have to wait another 6 months to get them installed and tunned. :frown:

Know what looks good on a GTO? Are some 17" American Racing Torque Thrust II's in chrome. I saw a Blacked out GTO sporting a set of these it was hot, I think he had full exhaust, no cats and just a muffler of sorts cause it sounded pissed. It was beautiful.

you guys think too linear. In anything else other then a drag race the RX-8 is a much more proper sports car.
