Aarghhhhh!!!

My dad who tries to be helpful all the time, type of father that will go the extra mile for you, did something to really upset me, i didn't show it though. I had some bird poop on my new Avalon, and he tried to clean it using a damp cloth, now there are about six scratches on my hood. Any suggestions???????The scratches are somewhat light. I guess it doesn't help that the car is dark grey.....

I believe there are liqid waxes/coats that you can buy to cover them, but i dont know how well they work. Your best bet would be go to autozone/advance auotoparts and see if they have something like that. if not, you can always go to a dealer and get touch-up paint.

if its just a light scratch/scuff as in not through the clear coat. You can just buff it out with some polishing compound or fine rubbing compound. No biggy.

I just tried a new product and it conceiled fine scratches very well. Zymol cleaner wax (it's in the sky blue bottle) It runs about $14 but it's well worth it. How would you (godzukmkdnd...whatever) suggest removing bird crap without washing it? If the dung was left on the hood for any period of time, it would've probably done more damage than your dad did by removing it. I'd thank dad for being so thoughtful:) . By the way, who bought the car for you??

there ya go! I'm glad to see that you bought it yourself! I get so aggrivated at those spoiled brats. Any time I see a high schooler with a new car or a big truck I think "Daddy bought it for me". Here's a thought :) Chop the tree down, harvest the lumber and build yourself a shed to protect the car...just kiddin'
