keep hinges looking nice

i have a black wrangler tj and i absolutely love it. but what i notice on a lot of wranglers is the hinges start to look rough pretty fast...what can i do to keep the hinges looking new and preventthem from getting rust? is there anywhere that i can purchase maybe plastic coated hinges?
