1992 mazda navajo tapping

I just purchased a used 1992 mazda navajo V6 4X4. As soon as i started it up i heard what appears to be a tapping sound. I did a tuned up and changed the oil. The vehilce doesn't burn any oil, doesn't smoke, and i have no indicator lights on. Oil and water pressure is normal, no water in the oil. The sound is there all the time. I know if it was something internal inside the motor it would only tap when it gets warm. Does anyone have any input???????

needs new push rods and rocker arms, i replaced them in my 91 and fixed it.

How about new rocker arms?
