Yes there is a code and if you do not have it, a dealer can give it to you, but you will probably have to go to the dealer with your vehicle registration (anti-theft protection). By using the VIN they can then give you the code which is entered, with key to on, using the radio push button numbers.

Thank you, is it difficult to get the code from the dealer, especially since I bought from a private party?

Should be no problem as long as you can prove ownership (registration or title) to the car.

 I just got a 325i 4 door. My speakers are missing in the front door panels. Is the only solution to get bmw speakers so it fits in the panel without custom work. if so where is some good places to find them used?
I also need a new panel for my HVAC controls because it's all smeared and you can't read it

Nothing special about the speakers, as BMW does not manufacture speakers. Circuit City, Best Buy, Crutchfield all can supply speakers.
