Do you guys pick on girls?

Honestly, I try to leave them alone, most of them don't know any better. But today, I had to BS this girl with an alluminum wing + altezzas on her del sol. In short, I tried to race her (naughty me) but like one a penny a person here, she's not a racer, and she turned the other way to avoid me. I told myself I had to do that to a girl one day and when they look over, I'd give the "call me" motion with my hands mocking a telephone and my mouth yelling "call me", hehehe......so far, no one has looked over yet, hehe.....
On my quest so far, I've learned to distinguish between the racers and non-racers(all-show-no-go, might as well)

why would you pick on girls, especially because she has similar stuff done to her car as you do?

I was driving my wifes 1.8t VW to work this morning and I come upon this hot blonde driving a CRX with a similar exhaust to mine (very quiet in comparison though). I paced her for a few seconds to get a good look at her. Obviously, she wasn't interested in messing with a guy and his wife in the passenger seat commuting on the way to work so she didn't even look. I said, "hot rice", then grinned, gave a short chuckle and looked over at my wife who could care less. In short, having your wife in the car with you sucks; especially when you want to play with hot chicks...

And what if they were to beat you? Not racing them would be more disrespectful IMO. They want to race you, why not? Chivalry doesn't have to be dead, but not racing them is just silly.

last time a checked, a homo sapien in a car is still a homo sapien in a car
if they are there, i'm racing them
if they beat me, that sucks, if i win, thats even better (for me)

I dont see why you wouldnt race them! Your considering them to be weaker then you just cause they are girls...thats fucked up bro.
I race them if they want to race and leave them alone if they dont, I never ask or iniciate. My deal is I let them decide. If they egg me on or start revving or acting like they want to race then we go for it, if they pull up and mind thier own business then I dont even ask cause most women are stuck up and think that your flirting with them or trying to impress them, last thing I need is some bitch thinking Im interested.

Street racing is for chumps. :icon16: Uncontroled and out of control. I've seen too many innocent by-standers get injured by idiots that thought they could drive.Unless your afraid of getting your ass chapped, its a lot more fun hitting 150mph in a 1/4 or down the backstretch at Charlotte Motor Speedway ie (we don't call it LOWES here) than it is running 80mph down Hwy 16 waiting for a NC State Trooper to jump out of your trunk. It ain't the same as it was 30 years ago. There is more stuff on the road to watch for than there was when I was in high school. Join the SCCA or go to the strip. If the object is to meet the opposite sex then what better way than to invite them to a day of friendly competition. If you want to up the stakes....Winner gets their way. Win /win.:smokin:

Although I agree with you that street racing is simple and boring I am absolutely against your argument about innocent by-standards. The media likes to call under-age drunk drivers that get killed "street racers" when in reality there was no racing involved. At least in my state, in the time Ive been driving (10 years) Ive only seen two innocent people killed due to an actual street race.
Most vehicular fatalities are from elderly people who hit the gas instead of the brake and killed a couple and thier 9 year old daughter, or 16 year old drunk drivers after prom driving daddy's corvette.
I do like the message about joining the SCCA and doing some real racing, hats off to you and preach on my brother!

Ain't preaching just stating common sense. I can't quote stats exactly here in my state of NC but I can say several months ago in Gastonia a "STREET RACING" scenerio killed a couple of people and injured several more who were simply ordering ice cream at a corner ice cream shop. If thats not the same "ONLY TWO PEOPLE" you are talking about that now makes four that you know of now plus injuries. I've also heard of several more where riders were killed. You can't rationalize irresponsibility. Street racing IS irresponsible. The cars and drivers seldom utilize saftey equipment. The speeds reached in an urban environment jepordize life and property that doesn't belong to the participants. Those caught should have their rides confiscated and license PERMANATELY revoked.:2cents:

Well thats NC and That is a terrible tragedy! In FL its not that bad. Im not opposed to street racing in Miami simply becasue for the past 6 years we've been trying to build a track down here to race at but every year the city officials and state reps turn down the proposal. I dont like driving for an hour an a half to Moroso four counties over just to get some runs so until they build us a track they have to deal with us racing.
Im not pro but im also not against it.

There's not many girls that actually race in my class at the tracks I go to, but when I do get one, then I consider them fair game. I mean I'm not going to intentially lose just because its a girl (dont have to do it on purpose, I've been beat several times by the same girl, lol).

Ohhhh I bet they'll deal with ya alright.
Here's a stat or two I found that is rather out dated. The NHTSA reported that in the year of 2001 there were 135 FATAL "street racing" fatalities in the USA. There were 49 people injured for every 1000 participants in illegal street racing. In the state of Florida alone 7,216 citations were issued in the year 2001.
In 1999 in the fine state of Florida the Dept of Hwy Safety for Motor Vehicles reported 28 "street racing" accidents involving 2 fatalities and 27 injuries. 2000 39 with 1 fatality and 55 injuries. 2002 (didn't have a stat for '01) 1 fatality and 60 injuries. I'm sure you look at these outdated stats and can say "See, compared to the number of accidents per year in Florida this is small.........." Only to the survivors. The four DOA's and 142 injured may feel a bit different.
I couldn't find anymore updated tallies of injuries and DOA's; but I didn't look long. But from the increase in the skuttlebutt and the movies that glamorize it, I doubt the stats have taken a turn down. The problem I have ain't the idiots that risk their lives. Its that they risk the lives of people who aren't participants. When I go to a track to spectate or race I assume what ever risk is involved with that action. I already assume more than enough risks getting to the track such as idiots that have NO BUSINESS with a license.:icon16: Drunks who have NO BUSINESS on the road.:disappoin Stoners who have NO BUSINESS on the road.:smokin: Nuts who are off their meds that have NO BUSINESS on the road.:screwy: Little old senile gray hairs that have NO BUSINESS on the road. People who can't read or speak the English language that have no license or insurance and have NO BUSINESS on the road.:sunglasse And now you tell me because your to lazy to drive a bit to race on a sanctioned course I've got to watch out for "your" butt too. Thanks for the freekin warning. Here's a warning for you. Stay out of NC to do it. NC State Troopers have NO sense of humor. They are about two steps away from Gestapo. Here they will take your butt to jail, you will not pass go and wish $200.00 would buy your butt out of jail. Your welcome.

Dude, if your gonna preach, this is the wrong place to do it. Stop hijacking threads, and go over to those Subaru boards where the general mention of driving five miles an hour over the speed limit is enough to get you booted. Racing in general is dangerous, no matter where you do it.
Back on topic: If a chick wants to race, then hell ya I'll race her. Shit, there is something sexy about a good looking girl whose also into cars, or any 'guy' thing in general.

I have no problems racing a chick, in fact I think I prefer it, they don't get all bent out of shape like most guys do. One of my favorite kills was a hot blonde in an '03 Cobra. She didn't flip me off or anything like that, just a thumbs up and a smile, the way it should be :bigthumb:
