best HID look headlights for my civic

I'm wondering if someone could recommend what would be the best lights to buy for my civic to get that bright blue-white HID look (and I'm a girl so I don't know anything fancy except how to pull out the old bulb and put in a new one....)
I've been looking at "Xenon Plasma" bulbs on ebay for under $10 - that's what I wanted cause it's a whole lot cheaper than the $40 ones they offered at the dealer...
...but I want to make sure these lights are going to work (or could someone tell me what will for around $10 a pair);
- are these bulbs blue, or is the blue color just painted on (which I read is not good)?
- will they work as well as the stock ones - will my car provide enough power? I've read that sometimes the wiring from the car does not provide enough power to these new bulbs, so some sort of converter is needed...or sometimes the bulbs fry and melt something, meaning I have to replace the entire headlight. This is what I want to avoid.
Thanks for your help!

First of all, just because you're a girl has nothing to do with how much you know about cars. Second of all, do you just want the hyper white/blueish look? In the descriptions on ebay you should read about the bulbs, and I don't recommend getting the ones that are just painted on blue...if it doesnt say then e-mail the seller and ask. The hyper white bulbs actually are better IMO than the stock bulbs, because the stock ones are more of the "yellowish" white, and the hyper white lights up everything so much more. I love them and when I'm driving in a car with normal "white" lights, it just seems so much darker and harder to see at night. Just some advice...don't always take the cheapest way out.....sure a $5 pair of hyperwhites sounds like a good deal, but they may turn out costing you a lot more in the long run.

I had naxos h4 bulbs before.
They never blew out on me and i had them for 2 years.
They sell on ebay for 20 bucks if you can find them.
They're a very nice blue too.

i don't think you can really get the blueish whitish look from just bulbs. i bought some osram sylvania cool blues, and even thought the name has it, it's pretty much white. and it doesn't seem too bright either. i dont know. i guess it beats paying 600 for some HID kits. oh how i wish i could afford a 5 series bimmer.....
