Hey, I got a question.

I've had a set of Sparco "racer" pedals sitting in my recording studio for about 2 months now, and I haven't gotten around to putting them in my car. The main reason for this is because I have to drill holes in my existing pedals in order to install them, and it looks like a pain in the ass to get a drill under the dash at the right angle and all that.

Has anyone done this? Is there a way to remove the stock pedals so I can work on them outside the car? Or is there a way to compress the pedals so that they are at a better angle to drill?

Thanks in advance dawg!

Sorry bro cant help you there because I'm in the same boat as you are, lol. A friend gave me a set of Sparco pedals too and they're sitting in the garage waiting to get installed. Maybe I'll trade em for something else thats easier to install...Anyway, I can at least give you my sympathy...hehehe.

You keep em in the case, if you feel lazy enough not to bother installing em, lol.:finger:

Which pedals r they? I found this link (http://www.ichibahn.ws/) with the different models. I'm interested in a good set of pedals if they're not like those crap pedals that u can buy @ pep boys.

Is there such a thing as new pedals, not pedal covers? as in i can remove the factory pedals and replace them with something else? I dont think there is any "mod" more cheese than putting pedals over your existing pedals...well, maybe i spoke too soon i have seen a car with 3 wings on it heh

well the actual pedal is a piece of metal all the way up covered by a rubber foot grip...the most efficiant way is to get the ones that require screwing in because they wont slip off like my old ones

All i know is i'm missing the rubber covers that go over the pedals and i'm tired of my foot slipping when my shoes r wet & i don't want cheap covers that look like they're made out of 3 layers of aluminum foil or light up :bloated:

I have OBX pedals right now and although they look ok they are a piece of crap...I've had a few pairs of shoes that got scratched just from getting of and on my car...the metal piece that wraps around the pedals scratches and grabs your shoe lace. One time my shoe got stuck on the brake pedal, good thing i was waiting at the light and got it out in time.

I used to have these gay Aluminum "Type-R" pedals and they held onto the pedals with metal tabs that you bend. So basically they stayed on for about 2 minutes. That was my last ricer mod, after that I re-evaluated what I was doing and I haven't done a non-functional mod since then.

Tabs?!? Even the pepboys ones have screws and are held on halfway decently. The aluminum ones arent half bad though, way better than the shit at pepboys.
