my friend has a 2000 prelude with the h22a and wants to do some exhaust work. hes lookin at headers first. what are some that you guys think are good for this engine my buddy doesnt really want to get a dc sports one. does greddy make one compatible with this generation?

Dont bother getting a mass production header. Just shell out the bigger bucks on a custom header that will make power.

"Header" = 1

The best of the best = SMSP, RMF, Mugen

the custom pieces arent for everyone. For how many people i have told in the past to get them, i can prolly count on one hand the amount of people who have actually taken my advice.
the header/headers debate is obsolete and pointless to argue about.

the greddy header can be modified to fit on a 5th gen, you just have to extend the collector to the cat. However, since you would be doing that, it would be to your benefit to cut the whole collector off and weld a 2.5" pipe and a 2.5" flex pipe on.

and if you're friends gonna go that route, look into the Megan header on Ebay, and do the 2.5" collector mod to that, instead of a $250-400 set. That's just me though. I still haven't done a header because I read that the JDM header is almost the same as the DC, and produces less than 5hp over stock. I'm not sure about the new DC with the 2.5" collector though. But then again, I would go cheap and cut it up. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
