Echeck 98 s10

I have a 98 s10 and it wasnt hooking up with the computers for echeck , so i cleaned the plug with electrical cleaner and i also did the computer plugs as well, thats a no brainer, but now since it hooks up , they tell me its a catalyst reject , which its not ready ... wtf its been driven so the codes should be reset ... i am lost and angry , someone let me know whats goin on ... i'm good with everything but this new computer crap
