aftermarket stereo 97 Taurus?

anybody seen or know ware to get a kit for a aftermarket stereo?

ya, Go to any stereo shopand order a face plate. then get any after market stereo you want. That's what i did

you talking about the taurus with the air controls and the radiao all in one? this is what my sister has (the radiao dosnt come out)

Yes i am and yes it does. The 2 holes on both sides of the unit are where the relese clamps are.When you order the after market face plate, it comes with all the holes needed for your heating and AC.it cost me 108.00 after taxes and took 25 min to install.(without deck).Before I got the face plate, I took the ashtray out. A cd player fits there to.Just go ask a stereo shop, they should know what they are selling.

I've been looking at buying a 1999 taurus and worrying about this, but I looked and found this (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-c7Nm1f9M2gy/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142F134030) 59.99 isn't too bad.
