i drive a 99 civic. ive always wanted to get a turbo i just looked at some pics of a civic with the stock engine still intacked , a turbo was also visible.. ive read many articles on turbos and well my question
is a stock civic engine capable of handling all that induction pressure?
if not a 'mac daddy' turbo maby a little smaller one that still gives you nice little boostes

I don't know to much about turbos, but I do know that you completely need to get everything including bigger fuel injectors before ever thinking about getting a big turbo. Big turbos can destroy your engine if it is not ready for one. On the other hand a small turbo that spools up rather fast shouldn't be bad at all, but you won't get much top end from it. Just speed off the line!

yes you can get a turbo for your stock civic. they are pretty pricey around $3000 to $4500. you will have to run lower boost since your engine is stock, maybe around 5-8psi. heres a link you can check out...

i think for you d16 that apex'i sells turbo kits for your car. It is pretty pricey and you won't be able to boost up that much. Just my opinion, i'd go for a dohc swap and maybe turbo that thing later on in the future. a b18c w/ turbo at low boost is capable of 240+ hp......
