i am new to turbo charged cars. Should i invest in a turbo timer for my 1996 eclipse gsx. If so what brand should i go with?

All a turbo timer does it allow the motor to continue running for a set amount of time after you turn the key off. It does this to run coolant and oil through the turbo for a proper cool down. I think if it didn't come with one from the factory than its not that big of a deal unless you have a much larger turbo than it came with. So I would say no, not yet. :)

with a water cooled turbo it is not necessary, just don't turn the car off right after you've boosted strong
It's been debated, but I just don't see the point of spending 100 bucks for a water cooled turbo.
