sorry this is off topic but, what is the legal drinking age there? 18 or 21?

It's 19 in most of Canada. 18 in Alberta and 14 in Quebec. ;) (kind of a canadian in-joke) Actually I think it's only 18 in Quebec. I'm not sure about the Maritimes but it will be either 18 or 19.

I can't imagine waiting until I was 21 to drink. Damn, I feel sorry for you Yanks. :p

Hey, I'm old enough that I turned legal drinking age at 18. :D And then again at 21 when I moved to a state with a higher drinking age.

Oh, and if someone talks about going to the "peelers" they mean strip club. Took me about 20 minutes to figure out what they were talking about at racing school. :D

Everyone at the front half of my run group went to the peelers after we were through at school. Unfortunately I had to leave early since I had a 3 hour drive.

Yeah but don't forget the US/CDN exchange rate. It's pretty much in your favor. BTW just a tip, I think, you can file for all the GST that you paid when you were over here. I don't know what forms you need but when you go through Canadian customs just ask them about it.
