Header Placement

Ok, so I got the driver's side header in and all the things associated with it (plugs, wires, knuckle, etc.) But I couldn't seem to get the passenger side header in all the way; top or bottom. My friend and I both think that if we had the car up a few more inches, that there wouldn't be a problem. But the jack is maxed out and its not high enough. Any good idea, EXCEPT loosening the motor mounts and jacking the engine. That is not a possibility for me. This is starting to get frustrating. (94 Z28)

Side note: Thanks again, in advance, Cuda.

You could use a couple of 2 x 4 pieces of wood on top of the jack to give you some added height.

I think I'm gonna use that as a back-up plan. But I'll probably have to resort to that anyway. Unfortunately, I won't be back under the car til Thur. afternoon.

He probably doesn't want to mess with it - it's a bit of extra work that might be redundant.

So, I'm at a dead end now. I have a few big cement blocks at my house and I put some under the car and sat the jack on top of the cement blocks. But that still wasn't high enough. I don't know if there's a special angle to slide these in at or if I need to go higher. I don't feel safe going any higher though. Any suggestions please. I need help.

Are you sure they are the correct headers for your car?? If so what are they getting hung up on?

Yeah, I'm sure they are the correct headers. I have already put the driver's side on. I'm just trying to get the passenger side header up into place, but I can't. The fender wall and the K-member are getting in the way. It looks as if I had enough room, I could stand the header almost straight up and angle it in there, but there isn't enough room. People said they have done it with jack stands, but I don't see how. I can't seem to drop it in all the way from the top either. The primaries get squeezed between the valve cover and fender wall. Anybody got any tricks?
